A person was transported to an area hospital after colliding head-on with a utility pole at Tuolumne and Crowell roads on Friday morning.

Emergency crews responded to the scene at approximately 11 a.m. on Friday.

A red Toyota sedan hit a utility pole head-on at the intersection of Tuolumne and Crowell roads; the car collided with a pole in the southern portion of the intersection.

The Turlock Police Department was unable to provide details on the cause of the accident.

At least one occupant was seen being transported to an area hospital. The severity of the injuries is unknown at this time.
