Bomb Threat/Suspicious Package, Daycare Evacuated, 1600 Block Colorado Closed

The Turlock Police Department is currently on scene of a reported bomb threat at a local daycare/preschool. An unknown caller telephoned the daycare/preschool and advised of a bomb on the premise. Turlock Police responded and located a suspicious package in the parking lot. All the daycare children have been evacuated and parents have been notified.

The surrounding buildings and business have not been evacuated as of yet, however the roadway is closed pending the arrival of the Stanislaus County Sheriff Bomb Disposal Unit.

The Turlock Police Department is an active participant in the Crime Stoppers Program.  Callers can leave an anonymous tip by calling Crime Stoppers at (209) 521-4636 and may be eligible for a cash reward.
