On Saturday, November 19th, 2022, at 6:45 pm, the Turlock Police Department was dispatched to a reported weapon offense that had just occurred at a residence in the 1100 block of English Ave, Turlock, after a man had heard what he believed was a gunshot and then a vehicle speeding off.
Officers arrived on scene and began investigating, finding a bullet in the driveway of the residence that had fallen from the sky and through the roof of a carport in the driveway. Officers determined that there was no drive-by shooting and that it was a negligent discharge into the sky by an unknown person.
No injuries were reported.
