Chiropractic Office Burglary Failed, Suspect Found and Arrested Same Day

Construction of a new downtown commercial building for the relocation of Malek Chiropractic was recently completed to replace the burned down Red Steer Restaurant, and someone already tried to burglarize the business.

The burglary occurred at approximately 3:45 a.m. on Apr. 19, when a man broke the glass on the front door of the commercial building located on the 200 block of Golden State Boulevard, according to Turlock Police Department Spokesman Sergeant Neil Cervenka.

Despite breaking the glass, the man failed to pull property out of the door.

High resolution video surveillance would result in images of the suspect and his vehicle.

Later in the day around 12:07 p.m., the vehicle was spotted and stopped by the TPD.

Jeronimo Torres Sr., 44, was arrested for commercial burglary and possession of narcotics.

Torres had been recently arrested by the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department for vehicle theft, possession of stolen property, and possession of drugs in a jail facility on Apr. 8, however, he would be released from custody on Apr. 11.

Jeronimo Torres Sr. also goes by Jeronimo Torres Jr., as both names appear in these arrests, “appear to be the same person,” according to Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department Spokesman Sgt. Anthony Bejaran.

The new building, owned by Sargon Malek, D.C. and that sits on the land where the old Red Steer was located, endured months of building and construction to eventually become Malek Chiropractic. The chiropractic office is located at 203 S. Golden State Boulevard, suite A, next to the Turlock Chamber of Commerce and Central Park.
