Lights, camera — Christmas! Groups and families are invited to the newly-themed “A Box Office Christmas” parade.
The 36th Annual Turlock Downtown Christmas Parade, taking place at 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 5, will begin at Canal Street travel down historic Main Street.
Area residents are invited to come and enjoy holiday music and to visit local vendors as early as 4 p.m.
Thousands come out to the parade each year, many of which begin saving spots hours in advance, with approximately 31,000 attending the 2012 parade.
There will be several road closures along the parade route before and during the festive event.
The parade is sponsored by Turlock Firefighters Local 2434 and the Turlock Convention & Visitors Bureau.
