DEVELOPMENT SERVICES
Planning Division:
· The Deputy Director attended the joint Policy Advisory Committee and Citizens Advisory Committee meeting for the Highway 165 Project Study Report. The consultant has identified seven potential corridor alignments and five potential interchange locations for consideration by the committees. The next joint meeting is scheduled at Turlock City Hall
FIRE SERVICES
Operations Division:
· Fire personnel responded to a total of 20 emergency calls. 1 tree that fell on to a triplex dwelling, with some structural damage and no injuries.
· Fire personnel responded to a structure fire call at 1536 N. Palm. (The Castle House) The fire was caused by electrical at the main power line house connection. The fire caused an estimated $1500.00 dollars in damage.
MUNICIPAL SERVICES
Parks, Recreation & Public Facilities Division:
Streets Services
· On Tuesday, Oct. 13th, all available PFM staff worked diligently from 7:00 a.m. until 2:00 a.m. responding to traffic and safety hazards due to downed trees and limbs in roadways and on sidewalks from the storm. Crews responded to 92 calls to remove the hazards.
Regulatory Affairs Division:
· Adoption of the City’s Wastewater Discharge Permit has been delayed until January of 2010.
· The two water storage tanks are now fully operational and functioning as designed.
POLICE SERVICES

Street Crimes Unit
· The Street Crimes Unit spent a busy week conducting searches. They also responded to assist Patrol on several fights and ended the week with various felony and misdemeanor arrests. A handgun was removed from the streets and stolen property belonging to a probation officer was recovered.
Uniformed Patrol
· A City Municipal worker, arriving at a park, found a 39 year old female victim hanging from the play equipment. Fortunately, the school bus stop is not in this area and no children on the way to school came upon her. The victim had an argument with her boyfriend the night before and left a note, which her daughter found. Everything points to a suicide at this time.
· Commercial burglaries continue at a high rate. Patrol officers have made a tentative ID on one suspect, from video at a business. They are working to firm up the identification and locate the suspect with the assistance of the Investigations Unit.
