The California State University, Stanislaus College of Business Administration has been reaccredited by the prestigious Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International.

AACSB is the longest-serving global accrediting body for business schools,offering undergraduate and graduate degrees in business and accounting. The CSU Stanislaus College of Business Administration was first granted AACSB accreditation in 2003.

In a feat described as “impressive” by CSU Stanislaus administrators, the recent AACSB accreditation renewal came without any required AACSB review of the college.

“To earn a maintenance of accreditation with no continuing review is an impressive achievement,” said CSU Stanislaus Provost James Strong. “This distinguished recognition is tangible evidence of our university’s commitment to maintaining a high quality of instruction and an exceptional learning environment.”

To earn and maintain accreditation from AACSB, the CSU Stanislaus College of Business Administration is required to meet specific standards of excellence. Deans, faculty and staff of the college must also demonstrate a continual dedication to continuing improvement, to guarantee the College of Business Administration is consistently providing the highest quality education.

“We are extremely proud and gratified to earn the maintenance of our AACSB accreditation, an honor shared by less than 5 percent of the world’s business programs,” said Linda Nowak, dean of the College of Business Administration.

The prestigious accreditation isn’t the only recent achievement by the College of Business Administration at CSU Stanislaus. The college also recently launched its new online Masters of Business Administration program – California’s first fully online MBA to be accredited by AACSB.

A CSU Stanislaus student from the College of Business Administration was also recently recognized as a top Human Resource student in the nation in 2012 – the fourth time a student from CSU Stanislaus has been recognized by the Society for Human Resource Management in the past six years.

In addition to these achievements, business students within the college recently worked with the Internal Revenue Service, the Hughson Family Resource Center and the Turlock Salvation Army to provide no-cost income tax service and financial literacy education for the community’s low-income population through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program.
