College Radio Station Releases Compilation Album Featuring 35 Local Musicians

KCSS 91.9 FM, the student-run radio station on the California State University, Stanislaus campus, has released their first compilation album, “Take 1,” which is now available for purchase.

The album was released in conjunction with the annual KCSS Bandstand, which featured 17 bands from are performing at the Grizzly Rock Café on May 9.

The compilation features 35 songs from 35 different local musicians. The double-disc album “represents the uniqueness of artists in the area,” according to KCSS.

KCSS hopes the compilation can help rejuvenate the local music scene and serve as a directory for local bands and future concert booking in the Central Valley.

The compilation is currently on sale for $7 and can be purchased at the KCSS office, located in the Demergasso-Bava Hall at CSU Stanislaus, or online at KCSS.net.
