Congressman Denham Announces Return to House Committee on Veterans Affairs During the 113th Congress

U.S. Representative Jeff Denham (R-Turlock) today announced that his waiver request to serve on the House Committee on Veterans Affairs during the 113th Congress has been granted.

“Our service men and women risk their lives every day to protect our country and I’m committed to making sure we preserve the rights, protections and benefits that America’s brave and heroic veterans deserve,” said Denham. “Returning to the Veterans Committee for a second term will allow me the opportunity to continue my work in Congress to take the best care possible of our brave and deserving veterans.”

Today’s announcement places Denham on his third Committee next Congress, which also includes the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure as well as the House Committee on Agriculture.

In addition to the House Committee on Veterans Affairs, Rep. Denham will also serve his second term on the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure, on which he previously served as Chairman of the Subcommittee on Economic Development, Public Buildings, and Emergency Management in the 112th Congress.

Finally, Denham will serve his first term on the House Committee on Agriculture, chaired by Rep. Frank Lucas (R-OK), in the 113th Congress.
