On Monday, March 20th, 2023, at 2:40 am, a Turlock Police officer near the intersection of Geer Rd and E Minnesota Ave, Turlock, observed a driver violating the California Vehicle Code, so he made a traffic stop on him.

The officer made contact with and identified the vehicle’s two occupants, driver Oscar Jasso, 29, of Turlock, and passenger Isabella Barragan, 24, of Turlock.

When the officer had his dispatcher run the two, he discovered that Jasso was on searchable probation for possession of metal knuckles and had a $5,000 local misdemeanor bench warrant for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He also discovered that Barragan had a $1,000 misdemeanor warrant of arrest out of Modesto for making annoying phone calls.

Both were arrested and a vehicle search was conducted incident to arrest. During the search, the officer located ammunition, which Jasso is prohibited from possessing due to his convicted felon status.

Both were booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on their warrants and Jasso on the charge of possession of ammunition by a prohibited person.
