Crew Breaking Ground on Montana Neighborhood Park

Construction crew broke ground on Montana Avenue this week to begin the construction of Montana Neighborhood Park.

Sinclair General Engineering received the contract for Montana Neighborhood Park in April, and construction on Turlock’s latest park began earlier this week on Monday.

The construction is going on across the street from Freitas Park and next to Central Valley Self Storage.

Traffic delays are considered minor. As of this writing, at least one work vehicles was seen taking up space on the road next to the construction site. Orange cones were set up around the vehicle, and cars going into the area simply needed to go around it destination such as Alquist Arms or Central Valley Self Storage.

Montana Neighborhood Park will have general work including and consisting of installing curb, gutter, and sidewalk; installing landscape and irrigation; installing drinking fountains, and installing outdoor fitness equipment.

The engineer’s estimate stands at $410,000.

On Monday, crew on scene were removing the wire fencing and removing an irrigation ditch. By Wednesday, the dry grass growing in the construction site had been removed, and the construction site now shows only the dirt and construction crew on the scene.
