A California State University, Stanislaus fraternity is giving back with their “Jump for St. Jude’s” fundraiser.

Tau Kappa Epsilon (TKE) will be hosting a jumpathon in the quad at CSU Stanislaus, which will last for than 24 hours from March 19 to March 20 to raise money and awareness for the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.

The event begins at 9:00 a.m. on March 19 and will end at 3:00 p.m. on March 20. During that time, members of TKE will take shifts jumping on a trampoline in 30 minute to one hour increments.

This is the third year of “Jump for St. Jude’s.”

“It all started with a creative and fun way to bring focus and attention to one of the two main philanthropies of Tau Kappa Epsilon, one being St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital and the other being the Alzheimer Association,” said CSU Stanislaus TKE Vice President Jon Grammatico.

The founder of St. Jude’s, Danny Thomas, was a member of TKE, so it’s a foundation that many chapters want to support, said Grammatico.

Last year’s fundraiser raised about $500 and TKE wants to double that this year. The goal is raise more than $1 million across all TKE chapters this year.
