Almost every child enjoys eating yogurt, but do they know what the delicious treat is really made of?
On May 11, Science Saturday at California State University, Stanislaus will provide the answer, with university students and faculty teaching kids all about the science behind yogurt.
From 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on May 11, children ages 9 to 12 years old are invited to attend the school year's final Science Saturday. Students will learn about science while they observe bacteria under a microscope, isolate bacteria from yogurt, and make yogurt from different types of milk.
The “My Yogurt is Alive!” Science Saturday will be led by Professor Choong-Min Kang of CSU Stanislaus, and will be held at the Naraghi Hall of Science at the Turlock campus.
