CSUS “Dorm” Halloween Gala, Haunted House, Carnival, Gifts

TURLOCK – Students at California State University, Stanislaus will reach out to youngsters both on and off campus this Saturday as participants in local Halloween festivities.
 
 

Youngsters who visit the 16th Annual Housing and Residential Life Halloween Gala at California State University, Stanislaus on Saturday, October 31 will receive a free book along with their tricks and treats and visits to the Haunted House and carnival. The Phi Kappa Phi honor society chapter will pass out books gathered during its “Spooktacular Booook Drive” to children between the ages of 8 and 11.

 
 

The free Halloween Gala at The Village, located on the northeast corner of the campus and accessible from the Crowell or Geer Road campus entrances, is open to children of all ages from 6 to 9 p.m. on Halloween. In addition to the traditional Haunted House and locations for trick-or-treating, the event will include a carnival featuring a variety of games and crafts. Parking is free during the event and shuttle service to the site will be available.

 
 

In addition, the CSU Stanislaus Alpha Xi Delta sorority will partner with the Turlock Downtown Property Owners Association for the Fifth Annual Halloween “Trick or Treat Day” on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 pm. in Central Park at Golden State Boulevard and West Main Street. While children trick or treat at downtown businesses, members of Alpha Xi Delta will sponsor a carnival at the park with a bounce house, face painting, games, and arts and crafts.

 
 

The Kiwanis Club of Turlock is also joining with Alpha Xi Delta to provide a pumpkin patch that will provide free pumpkins for youngsters.
