Daljit Somal, 86, of Turlock passed away at Turlock Nursing and Rehab on Thursday, February 25. He was born in Punjab, India to Santa and Jadhu Somal in 1923. Daljit worked for P.S.E.B. in Patiala, Punjab, India for 40 years. He enjoyed playing hockey. God and family were his life.
Daljit is survived by his wife Manjit K. Somal of Turlock; children Kulwant S. Somal and Surinder Kaur both of Turlock, Inderjit Kaur of Chicago; and 10 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his sons Jugher S. Somal and Gurinder S. Somal. Daljit will be missed by all who know him.
Arrangements are entrusted to Allen Mortuary. A visitation will at Allen Mortuary on Saturday, February 27 from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A funeral will be held at Allen Mortuary on Sunday, February 28 at 11:30 a.m. with cremation following.
