Dorothy Booth, a Turlock resident since 1963, passed away peacefully at Emanuel Medical Center on Wednesday, September 29, 2010. She was born in Nebraska to the late Thomas and May Sturtevent. She was an elementary school teacher for the Chase County School District in Nebraska for three years. She lived in the Los Angeles area in 1939 then moved to Oakdale in 1953 before she settled to Turlock in 1963. She was a member of the 1st Baptist Church of Turlock.
She is survived by her five grandchildren, Carrie MacLean, Robert Booth, Crystal Cozine, Jenny Booth, and Samantha Booth. She also leaves behind eight great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at 11:00am at the 1st Baptist Church of Turlock with a private graveside at Turlock Memorial Park.
