Officers in the 300 block of Farr Street were contacted by a driver who appeared to be intoxicated around 8:40 p.m. on May 26.

The driver had stopped and talked to one of the officers, who were on scene for an unrelated incident, said Turlock police spokesperson Officer Mayra Lewis.

When the officer, who could tell that the driver was intoxicated, told the driver to get out of the car, the suspect fled in his vehicle, driving erratically, said Lewis.
