On Sunday, July 23rd, 2023, at 1:03 am, the Turlock Police Department was dispatched to a reported vehicle collision in the 2000 block of Fulkerth Rd, Turlock.

When officers arrived on scene, they found seven vehicles involved. The first was a silver 2011 Chrysler Town and Country, the second was a white 2022 GMC Sierra 2500HD, the third was a 2001 Toyota Tundra, the fourth was a white 2012 Chevrolet Malibu, the fifth was a 2022 Toyota Highlander, the sixth was a gray 2017 Dodge Journey, and the seventh was a 2012 Toyota Corolla.

Six of the seven vehicles had been parked and unoccupied, while the seventh was occupied by driver Diego Reynoso, 22, of Turlock, and his passenger.

Reynoso wasn’t injured, however, his passenger suffered minor injuries.

While speaking with Reynoso, officers noticed that he was displaying objective symptoms of being under the influence, so they asked him if he’d be willing to participate in standardized field sobriety tests. Reynoso agreed and completed the tests.

Based on the totality of the circumstances, officers determined that Reynoso was under the influence of alcohol.

Reynoso was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol causing bodily injury to another person and driving with a blood alcohol content of .08% or greater causing bodily injury to another person.

Reynoso was also issued an administrative driver’s license suspension order by the California Department of Motor Vehicles and his vehicle was impounded.
