At about 8:16pm Friday night, Turlock Police responded to a hit-and-run that had just occurred in front of a residence in the 600 block of W. Main Street.

The caller reported that a possibly drunk driver who lived somewhere on W. Olive Avenue had struck a parked vehicle.

While officers were responding, they received a call from someone at a residence in the 500 block of W. Olive Avenue, reporting his roommate had just showed up drunk and was trying to beat him up, so officers went there.

Officers arrived on scene and made entry into the residence after hearing someone yelling for help from inside, detaining a man later identified as Judah Gregg, 24, of Turlock.

A black Ford F-150 in the driveway of the residence was then able to be identified as the suspect vehicle from the hit-and-run and Gregg was able to be identified as its driver.

While speaking with Gregg, officers noticed that he was displaying objective symptoms of being under the influence of alcohol, so they arrested him.

Gregg refused to provide a chemical sample as required by California’s implied consent law, and instead became extremely belligerent and began yelling profanities, so he was transported to Doctors Medical Center where a blood sample was forcefully drawn after a search warrant was obtained.

Gregg was then issued a driver’s license suspension order and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and fleeing the scene of an accident resulting in property damage.
