On Sunday, October 2nd, 2022, at 1:58 am, a Turlock Police officer near The Grand Cru, 130 W Main St, Turlock, came up on a disturbance in progress between a driver and a pedestrian who he had nearly struck.

While speaking with the driver, Jovanny Rodarte, 30, of Manteca, officers noticed that he was exhibiting objective symptoms of being under the influence.

Ultimately, officers determined that Rodarte was under the influence of alcohol.

Rodarte was arrested and transported to a local hospital for a blood draw as required by California’s implied consent law.

Afterwards, Rodarte was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of driving under the influence. He was also issued an administrative driver’s license suspension order by the California Department of Motor Vehicles and his vehicle was impounded.
