On Friday, March 17th, 2023, at 3:52 pm, the Turlock Police Department, Turlock Fire Department, and American Medical Response were dispatched to a reported vehicle collision with injuries at the intersection of Geer Rd and Wayside Drive, Turlock.

When officers arrived on scene, they found a single vehicle involved, a 1997 Toyota Camry. The Camry had collided with a fire hydrant on the northeast corner of the intersection and ended up in the front yard of a residence across Geer Rd.

The vehicle had a single occupant, its driver, who was an elderly man. He suffered minor injuries, however, refused to be transported to the hospital.

The vehicle sustained moderate damage and was deemed inoperable as a result of the collision, requiring it to be towed away.

It’s currently unknown how the collision occurred.

Officers completed a request for re-examination form for the driver and submitted it to the California Department of Motor Vehicles. They then provided him with a courtesy ride home.
