Emanuel Cancer Center is now offering free mammograms for uninsured women ages 40 and older.
The free mammograms are available for the first 100 women who sign up.
Early detection for breast cancer maximizes a woman’s treatment rates and chances of survival.
“With science catching up with breast cancer, survivor rates are higher than ever,” explained Michael Iltis, the executive director of Emanuel Cancer Center. “But treatment can begin only once cancer has been detected. Scheduling your mammogram today will either give you peace of mind or help increase your chances of living a long, healthy life in the event cancer is detected.”
