With the annual Stanislaus County Fair comes traffic congestion and rerouting.

The Turlock Police Department has announced that for the duration of the Stanislaus County Fair Soderquist Road northbound will be closed from Canal Drive. No through traffic is allowed on Soderquist Road, and no left-turn on to Soderquist is possible for those traveling westbound on Fulkerth Road.

Turlock Police also advises that people should not plan on picking up fairgoers at the fairgrounds, and should instead arrange for pick up several blocks away.

Turlock Police will not be holding DUI checkpoints during the fair's run, but the Stanislaus County Avoid the 12 DUI Task Force may.
