Family, Friends Come to Aid of Explosion Victim

Family and friends are coming to the aid of a man who lost part of his arm in Friday’s explosion at Carniceria La Rancherita.

Chris Browning, or “Uncle Buck” as many know him, suffered life-threatening injuries while working on a refrigeration unit at the Carniceria on Friday morning. For an unknown reason, an explosion occurred while Browning, a contractor, was working on the unit.

Browning was transported to an area hospital and quickly went into surgery. Browning lost part of his left arm in the accident.

Amey Pimentel, Browning’s daughter, said Browning is still in the hospital and will be for several days. He will not be released from the hospital until his pain is under control.

To help with the high medical expenses, family members have created a GoFundMe campaign to raise money. Anyone can donate any amount to the campaign.

As of Sunday morning, the family has raised $450 of their $20,000 goal.
