On Monday, November 7th, 2022, at 9:41 pm, a Turlock Police officer near the intersection of Fransil Ln and Fulkerth Rd, Turlock, observed a vehicle driving at a high rate of speed, so he made a traffic stop on it.

The officer made contact with and identified the vehicle’s driver as Jesus Arteaga, 41, of Turlock.

When the officer had his dispatcher run Arteaga, he returned to be on searchable probation and had a suspended driver’s license.

A subsequent probation search of Arteaga’s vehicle led to the discovery of live ammunition.

Arteaga was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of possession of ammunition by a prohibited person, driving with a suspended driver’s license, driving a vehicle at a speed greater than is reasonable or prudent for the conditions or that endangers the safety of persons or property, and driving or leaving standing an unregistered vehicle.
