Firefighters battle blaze in home Monday morning

On Monday, January 9th, 2023, at 10:39 am, the Turlock Fire Department, Modesto Fire Department, Stanislaus Regional Fire Investigations Unit, Turlock Police Department, and American Medical Response were dispatched to a reported working structure fire at a residence in the 4000 block of W Main St, Turlock.

When firefighters arrived on scene, they found a single-story single-family dwelling with smoke visible from the outside.

Firefighters made entry into the home and found a fire inside. Firefighters quickly began fire attack and were able to bring the fire under control within about 30 minutes, extinguishing it shortly thereafter.

Firefighters remained on scene for an extended period of time after the fire was out conducting overhaul, investigation, and other post-fire activities.

The Turlock Irrigation District and Pacific Gas and Electric Company responded to the scene to secure utilities, while the Modesto Fire Department provided city coverage for the duration of the incident.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire remains unknown.
