Firefighters quickly extinguish attic fire Monday morning

On Monday, August 29th, 2022, at 10:58 am, the Turlock Fire Department, Modesto Fire Department, Turlock Police Department, and American Medical Response were dispatched to a reported residential working structure fire in the 300 block of Colorado Ave, Turlock, after smoke had been seen coming from the residence.

When crews arrived on scene, they found light smoke emitting from the roof of the residence.

Crews were able to make access into the residence where they located and quickly extinguished a fire in the attic.

Firefighters remained on scene for an extended period of time after the fire was out conducting overhaul, investigation, and other post fire activities.

The Turlock Irrigation District and Pacific Gas and Electric Company responded to the scene to secure utilities, while the Modesto Fire Department provided city coverage for the duration of the incident.

No injuries were reported.

The cause and origin of the fire remain unknown.
