First Night Market of the Season this Friday

Looking for a sign that Summer is truly here? Look no further.

The first nighttime Turlock Farmers Market of the year will be held Friday, offering a fun evening of live music, delicious food, and a large variety of vendors for the whole family to enjoy.

The night market, held four times throughout the farmers market season, features local produce vendors with fresh vegetables and fruit, craft vendors with handmade jewelry, homemade sweets, freshly baked breads, and other delectable treats.

As usual, the night market will feature live music. Local folk singers and musicians Michael Ling and Patrick Durr from the Modesto band “Home Grown” will play folk covers of popular songs such as The Beatles’ “Eleanor Rigby” and Neil Diamond’s “Solitary Man.”

Attendees will also have the special opportunity to view a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu demonstration at the night market, as members of the Turlock Jiu Jitsu Academy will show the community what the increasingly popular sport is all about.

Following Friday’s market, the night market will be held three more times throughout the market season on July 5, September 6 and October 25.

The morning market will still occur as normal from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday. After a three-hour break, the night market will begin at 4 p.m. and run until 8 p.m.

The Turlock Farmers Market is held on Broadway between West Main Street and A Street.
