On Sunday, December 25th, 2022, at 8:06 am, the Turlock Police Department was dispatched to a reported commercial burglary at Roselawn High School, 350 N Kilroy Rd, Turlock.

When officers arrived on scene, they found a wooden structure that had its side busted open somehow.

Officers received information that the suspects had just left the area westbound through the field across the street from the school, so they began searching. They located footprints in the field which ended where fresh bicycle tire tracks began, and officers eventually located two bicycles near a trailer parked on Dianne Dr.

Officers made contact with and identified a few individuals associated with the trailer, which included Michael Francis, 37, of Denair.

When officers had their dispatcher run Francis, he returned with a $100,500 local felony bench warrant for domestic violence inflicting corporal injury.

Francis was eventually able to be linked to the burglary, however, the others weren’t. He was also found to be in possession of methamphetamines.

It’s unclear if anything was actually taken and that will remain unclear due to the Turlock Police Department not having a public information officer available until the start of the new year.

Francis was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of burglary and possession of methamphetamines, as well as his warrant.
