Geer Road Carl’s Jr robbed late Friday night

On Friday, January 29th, 2021, shortly after 11:15 pm, the Turlock Police Department started receiving multiple calls reporting a possible robbery in progress at the Carl’s Jr located at 2980 Geer Rd. Callers reported seeing a black male adult wearing a black hoodie and jeans holding a metal weapon in his pockets taking money from the register and then going into the back office of the business with an employee. Multiple officers responded, including two who left a less important call across the street and two Stanislaus State officers.

When the first two officers who were already in the area arrived, a subject matching the description of the suspect exited the front of the business. Officers attempted to detain him, however, he resisted and a struggle ensued. After about a minute, officers were able to control and detain him. They attempted to put him in one of their vehicles, however, he resisted that as well. Other units began arriving on scene and they were able to assist with finally getting him in the vehicle.

After finally controlling the suspect, officers went inside the business to clear it. After the business was cleared, officers began interviewing witnesses and viewing surveillance footage. Once their preliminary investigation was complete, they determined that there was enough probable cause for an arrest, therefor, the suspect, who was identified as Aaron Prince (with an alias of Aaren Prince), 34, of Modesto was placed under arrest and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of robbery, providing a false name to a peace officer, and resisting a peace officer.
