A high-speed chase raced through South Turlock last night, after Turlock police attempted to make a traffic stop on a stolen late model white Chrysler 300 from Modesto.

Police say the driver, Kelvin Freeman, 22, refused to stop. After a short chase he crashed into a utility pole near the intersection of Kenwood Avenue and Canal Drive at about 9:50 p.m.

Freeman and two other suspects fled the scene on foot. They were quickly located in the backyard of a nearby residence in the 900 block of Kenwood Avenue.

Freeman was arrested on charges of felony evading and possession of stolen property for the auto theft. Turlock police say the other two suspects were apprehended but were not arrested on any charges.
