Driving on Highway 99 on Christmas Eve was bad enough with holiday traffic and got worse with a wreck by the Turlock Taylor Road exit that backed up traffic north to Ceres.
About six cars were involved in the wreck that occurred by the Taylor Road exit at around 2:45pm. A 45 year old woman was rear-ended by a 25 year old man. The man could not stop in time when the woman in front of him slowed for heavy slow traffic in front of her.
Ten foot of guard rail was damaged as the woman crashed into it when pushed off the highway.
Ambulances arrived while it has been reported that the woman suffered minor injuries and the man did not report any injuries.
Traffic was still backed up to Ceres as late as 3:45pm.
