Inaugural Car Show and Toy Drive

Westside Ministries is hosting an Inaugural Car Show and Toy Drive fundraiser.

Its that time of year again, the time for giving and cheer, and Westside Ministries is wrapping up its 35th annual toy and coat drive.

Event will be held in the Turlock Tractor Supply parking lot, 201 N. Walnut rd, December 14th beginning at 10am. If you wish to enter a car into the car show, in lue of entry fee bring a new unwrapped toy as a donation, cars line up at 9am.

Car show judging begins at 10am with plenty of categories and awards for the participants, including fan favorite! Each guest will receive 5 tickets to drop in a collection box located in front of each car to cast their “vote” for fan favorite. Guests will also be able to purchase additional “votes” should they not be able to choose only 5.

Food and sweets will be available for purchase, all proceeds will go to Westside Ministries Coats 4 Kids. 

Live entertainment will begin at 1130am featuring performances from the talented kids from the Center for Urban Performance and Service, followed by awards.

“We are thankful for our car club folks for always supporting local kids. We hope the community can help us make this an annual event” said Westside Ministries founder and director JoLynn DiGrazia

All are encouraged to attend and bring toys and coats! 

This will be one of the last times to donate this year, if you may not be able to make it to the car show please feel free to drop off coat or toy donations at Carr’s Cleaners, 500 E. Main St.

Westside Ministries partners with Carr’s Cleaners every year to host its annual Coats 4 Kids drive, and the coats and toys collected at the car show will be distributed Dec. 17-20.
