On Tuesday, December 7th, 2021, at 1:24 pm, a Turlock Police officer near Dale’s Guitar, 2253 Geer Rd, Turlock, was flagged down by the business owner reporting that a subject had just stolen a guitar part from his store.

The business owner gave the officer the suspect’s description and last known direction of travel. The officer went to that area and saw a subject matching the description, later identified as Shane Brown, 29, of Turlock.

The officer got out with Brown and was able to detain him without incident.

Brown was positively identified as the suspect and the investigation revealed that this was not just a simple larceny, but rather a robbery, as Brown had thrown a jar at the business owner while committing the theft.

Brown was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of robbery.
