Job Watch: City of Turlock Hiring Utilities Manager

The City of Turlock is hiring a new Utilities Manager to help plan, organize, coordinate, and direct the maintenance and operation of water, sewer and storm, collection systems. The position will also preform Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition, traffic signals, street lighting, shipping and receiving, and fleet maintenance; administers budget for assigned maintenance and operations activities.

Experience of six years of increasingly responsible municipal utility maintenance and operations experience, including two years of supervisory responsibilities, which would lead to the acquisition of the required knowledge and abilities of this position.

Education equivalent to an Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in business or public administration, engineering, biology, chemistry, resource management, electronics, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a closely related field.

Required the Possession of a Water Distribution Grade III Certification issued by the State of California Division of Drinking Water. As well as the possession of a Water Treatment Grade I issued by the State of California Division of Drinking Water.

Monthly salary for the Manager position is between $8,732 and $10,614, depending on experience.
