Josh Bernard Announces Turlock School Board Candidacy

TURLOCK—Dairyman and community activist, Josh Bernard, has entered the race for a seat on the Turlock School Board.  A former soldier in the U.S. Army, Bernard is a graduate of California State University, Stanislaus and holds a California Teaching Credential.

Bernard based his decision to run for the school board primarily on his three young children.  His oldest will begin kindergarten this August.  “I will have children in Turlock schools for years to come and I want to be involved in the decisions that will shape our schools and our children’s future.”

Josh Bernard is no stranger to community service; he is a recent graduate of Leadership Turlock, a program sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce which helps civic minded citizens take an active interest in the local community.  Bernard is also a leader in the dairy industry and serves on the board of directors of Western United Dairymen, an advocacy group representing more than 60% of California’s dairymen.

“I’m looking forward to meeting Turlock voters throughout this campaign and sharing my views with them.  I firmly believe that education is the foundation of our children’s futures and if elected that foundation will be my focus,” said Bernard.

Bernard and his wife make their home in Turlock with their three children.  For more information on the Bernard campaign please email Josh at votejoshb@yahoo.com
