On Wednesday, December 7th, 2022, at 5:07 pm, the Turlock Police Department was dispatched to reported shots fired in the 1800 block of Geer Rd, Turlock, after someone had heard what they believed to be gunshots in the area and a vehicle speeding away.
Officers arrived in the area and began searching when they located a vehicle parked in the 100 block of Baylor Ave which appeared to have been struck by gunfire. The vehicle was determined to belong to a known gang member who lived nearby.
Officers made contact with the vehicle’s owner who told them that he had just been the victim of a drive-by shooting that had occurred on Pedras Rd just west of Geer Rd. He provided a description of the suspect vehicle, its occupants, and who he believed to have shot at him.
No injuries were reported and the suspect or suspects remain outstanding, however, at this point, it’s believed that there’s no danger to the general public.
