On Thursday, January 5th, 2023, at 10:53 pm, a Turlock Police officer near Turlock Poker Room, 2321 W Main St, Turlock, observed a suspicious person which he recognized and knew to be on probation, so he made contact with him.
The officer had his dispatcher run the man, Jimmy Spaulding, 28, of Turlock, to confirm his probation status, and he returned to be on searchable probation for assault by means of force likely to produce great bodily harm or death.
A subsequent probation search of Spaulding’s person led to the discovery of a concealed readily available stabbing weapon.
Spaulding was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on the charge of carrying a concealed dirk or dagger.
