Large poker room fight results in four arrests Sunday night

On Sunday, October 23rd, 2022, at 10:25 pm, the Turlock Police Department was dispatched to a reported assault and battery in progress at Turlock Poker Room, 2321 W Main St, Turlock.

When officers arrived on scene, they found a large group of people in the parking lot yelling and pulling each other away from one another.

A security guard approached an officer and pointed out four individuals who were responsible for the fight, walking away from the scene.

The officer went after the four and ordered them to stop, however, they failed to do so and continued walking away and across the street.

Additional officers arrived and all four were stopped and detained in handcuffs for further investigation. They were identified as Marvella Ceballos, 44, Susanna Madrigal, 41, Robert Perez, 38, and Adolfo Velasquez, 46, all of Turlock.

Officers began investigating and were told that Ceballos and Madrigal had kicked and punched a victim after being thrown to the ground, while Velasquez had attacked a security guard.

In the end, all four were arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center. Ceballos and Madrigal on charges of assault by means of force likely to produce great bodily injury and obstructing or resisting a peace officer or other public officer, Perez on charges of obstructing or resisting a peace officer or other public officer, and Velasquez on charges of battery and obstructing or resisting a peace officer or other public officer.
