Last-Minute Valentine’s Date Ideas

All of the best restaurants downtown Charlottesville has to offer are booked up for Valentine’s Day weeks and sometimes months in advance. This means that for those of you who are scrambling for Valentine’s date night ideas, you’ve got to think quick! But don’t fear, TurlockCityNews.com has got you covered.

It may be last-minute, but don’t be too discouraged – there are still several Turlock hot spots that will be ready for you and your Valentine tonight.

La Mo (310 E. Main St.) is booked for dinner, but if you’re looking for a pre-meal drink to calm your lovebug jitters, the cafe downtown will hold an open bar from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. If you’re craving some Mexican food after that, head on over to Las Casuelas (3203 Entertainment Way). The restaurant only takes reservations for parties six and over, so there should be plenty of tables for two ready if you get there early.

If you’re thinking Italian, Vito’s Ristorante (3851 Crowell Rd.) is a good option for a late dinner, since it still has some spots open for 8:30 and later. Grab a drink at their cozy bar while you wait, and enjoy some conversation over wine.

If you have the babysitter waiting at home and are aiming for an earlier night, head on over to Angelini’s Italian Restaurant (2251 Geer Rd.). Lines are expected to be out the door – but have no fear Valentine! Reservations were not taken in advance so you’ll still have a chance at your “Lady and the Tramp” spaghetti kiss.
