Local band teacher arrested for sex crimes with student Monday afternoon

On Monday, November 1st, 2021, at 2:30 pm, Turlock Police detectives arrested Daniel James Baudino, 38, of Turlock, at Turlock Junior High School, 3951 N Walnut Rd, Turlock, for his involvement in sex crimes with students that occurred between June 2016 and August 2016.

The confidential victim, who was a juvenile at the time these crimes occurred, reported them to the Turlock Police Department on Thursday, October 28th, 2021. These incidents occurred while Baudino was employed as a teacher at Turlock High School. Baudino is employed as a teacher at Turlock Junior High School and Earl Elementary School. When the Turlock Unified School District was notified of these crimes, they immediately placed Baudino on paid administrative leave while they investigate, which is their standard protocol.

Upon learning of the allegations, Turlock Police detectives immediately began an investigation and quickly secured a search warrant, the service of which led to the discovery of evidence confirming the allegations.

After Baudino was arrested, he was taken to the Turlock Police Department for questioning before he was eventually booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of having sex with a minor and having oral copulation with a minor.

Although only one victim has come forward at this time, detectives believe there are possibly other victims. Baudino’s booking photograph is being released with hopes that any witnesses or victims who recognize him from this crime or any other unreported crimes will come forward.
