Loverboy Loved the Stanislaus County Fair

Despite being being a band for more than 35 years, Loverboy rocked the Stanislaus County Fair as if they were in their prime on Thursday night.

Fans piled into seats at the Bud Light Variety Free Stage hours before the 8:30 p.m. start time anxiously awaiting Loverboy to begin their performance.

Once keyboardist Doug Johnson and drummer Matt Frenette took the stage, the crowd erupted with cheers.

The band performed with the energy of a band much younger, playing all of their biggest hits during the two and half hour performance.

The fans loved the whole thing, dancing and singing along with vocalist Mike Reno, who still dawns his famous bandana.

Reno shared the excitement of the crowd, wowed at the energy the crowd was giving after the first song. That energy carried deep into the night.
