On Monday, July 18th, 2022, at 8:38 pm, the Turlock Police Department was dispatched to a reported assault and battery in progress at Brentwood Apartments, 302 E Hawkeye Ave, Turlock.
Officers arrived on scene and found that the suspect, later identified as Lamien Glover, 48, of Modesto, had already fled the area in a vehicle. Officers made contact with the elderly victim who told them that Glover had slapped her phone from her hand and battered her before taking her phone and then fleeing the area in a vehicle.
Officers checked the area for Glover but were unable to locate him.
The victim suffered a minor injury as a result of the robbery.
A few hours later, Glover was found and arrested. He was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of robbery and elder abuse or endangerment under circumstances other than those likely to produce great bodily harm or death.
