On Saturday, September 24th, 2022, at 6:59 pm, the Turlock Police Department was dispatched to a reported residential burglary at a residence in the 2300 block of Zinfandel Ln, Turlock.

A report was taken after a woman had reported that someone had broken into her home and taken her belongings while no one was there.

The following day, the victim and her husband met with a neighbor, Alias Diaz, 21, of Turlock, to discuss the break in. While at Diaz’s home, the victim and her husband noticed their stolen property. The victim confronted Diaz and recovered the stolen property.

Diaz fled the area on foot, however, was later located and questioned by officers about the burglary.

Ultimately, Diaz was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of burglary.
