Man arrested after resisting officers during battery investigation Friday evening

On Friday, June 16th, 2023, at 7:55 pm, the Turlock Police Department was dispatched to a reported battery that had just occurred at the Turlock Poker Room, 2121 W Main St, Turlock.

When officers arrived on scene, they contacted the victim who told them that Alex Maslyanka, 27, of Ceres, had confronted him over a girl and proceeded to hit him in the head.

Officers began checking the area for Maslyanka and located him sitting in his vehicle nearby.

As officers attempt to contact Maslyanka, he exited his vehicle and began walking away from them, refusing to comply with lawful orders to stop. Maslyanka was eventually able to be placed in handcuffs without any force used.

An in-field show-up was conducted and the victim was able to confirm Maslyanka was who had hit him.

Maslyanka was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of obstructing or resisting a public officer in the discharge of their duty and battery.
