On Saturday, July 16th, 2022, at 12:25 am, a Turlock Police officer near the intersection of Market St and S Broadway, Turlock, observed a man later identified as Elias Pizano Ramos, 37, of Modesto, tampering with a vehicle.

When the officer attempted to make contact with Ramos, he began running and a foot pursuit ensued.

Ramos eventually made his way to near the back parking lot of the police station where additional officers assisted and were able to arrest him.

It was determined that Ramos had not actually committed a crime while tampering with the vehicle.

Ramos was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of resisting a peace officer.
