On Tuesday, November 1st, 2022, at 5:33 pm, the Turlock Police Department was dispatched to a reported trespass in progress at Brenda Athletic Clubs, 201 Tampa St, Turlock, where a man was yelling in the swimming pool and refusing to leave.

When an officer arrived on scene, he found a man later identified as Christian Garcia, 27, of Turlock, pacing back and forth in front of the business. The officer made contact with Garcia who appeared agitated and did not make much sense while talking.

Garcia eventually made threatening statements towards the officer and had to be held at “TASER point” until additional officers could arrive and assist.

When additional officers arrived on scene, Garcia got on the ground, however, began to fight officers and punched one of them when they attempted to detain him.

After a brief struggle, Garcia was arrested.

Garcia was transported to a local hospital where he was medically cleared.

Afterwards, Garcia was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of obstructing or resisting an executive officer by means of threats or violence.
