On Tuesday, June 27th, 2023, at 12:02 pm, the Turlock Police Department was dispatched to a reported trespass in progress at Walmart, 2111 Fulkerth, Turlock, for a man harassing customers and refusing to leave.

When officers arrived on scene, they made contact with a man later identified as Anthony Medeiros, 26, of Delhi, and gave him several lawful orders which he refused to comply with.

A struggle then ensued, however, Medeiros was able to quickly be put in handcuffs with no use of force.

Officers began investigating and learned that Medeiros had consumed food that he hadn’t paid for inside the business and walked out. While walking out, he made a threat towards one of the employees, placing them in fear for their safety.

Medeiros was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of threatening to commit a crime which will result in death or great bodily injury to another person, obstructing or resisting a public officer in the discharge of their duty, and shoplifting.
