Man arrested after threatening to shoot billiard hall employee Sunday evening

On Sunday, March 6th, 2022, at 7:45 pm, the Turlock Police Department was dispatched to a reported disturbance in progress at Sharkey’s Family Billiards & Pizza, 700 W Hawkeye Ave, Turlock.

As officers were responding to the scene, the caller told dispatch that the subject causing the disturbance threatened to shoot her and was leaving in a vehicle.

Officers saw the vehicle leaving the business and conducted a high risk stop on it, pulling out and detaining two adult occupants at gunpoint. Unknown to the officers, two toddlers were also in the vehicle.

Upon further investigation, one of the detained subjects, Arthur Peralta, 29, of Turlock, was arrested, while the other was released because he had not committed a crime.

The two toddlers were picked up by a family friend.

Peralta was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of making criminal threats and possession of methamphetamines.
