On Wednesday, May 25th, 2022, at 10:00 am, Turlock Police detectives arrested Timothy Ryan Burnham, 44, of Turlock, at his home in the 2400 block of Mountain Springs Dr, Turlock.

Detectives were following up on a cyber tip they had received in February from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The tip was investigated by high tech crimes detectives and required a search warrant to obtain data and information as to who was using the account suspected of receiving and sending child pornography. With information obtained during the service of the search warrant, detectives were able to identify a user and a location where the data had been downloaded and uploaded from.

Detectives obtained a second search warrant, this one for Burnham’s residence. The warrant was served Wednesday morning and electronic devices were seized during its service. Detectives also located Burnham and interviewed him.

After the interview, Burnham was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of distributing child pornography and possession of child pornography.

Depending on the results of the forensic analysis of Burnham’s seized electronic devices, he may face additional charges in the future.

“There is no indication that there are any local victims in this case,” said Officer Gina Giovacchini. “I encourage anyone who knows or suspects anyone who is participating in child exploitation to report this activity to their local law enforcement agency,” she continued.

The investigation remains on-going. Anyone with information that could assist in the investigation is encouraged to call Detective Tim Redd at 209-664-7325.
